There is more to learning outside the classroom than just monkey-ing around! Take a look at why Monkey World in Dorset is ideal for a school trip.

Whether you’re learning about Monkey World’s rescue work, impacts of deforestation or chimpanzee politics, the experienced education team can enhance a trip to Monkey World in Dorset or support learning in the classroom.
Students will see conservation in action, as animals stolen from the wild into the black market trade are rehabilitated at the centre. A range of talks and curriculum-linked workshops suitable for all ages and levels of study cover topics such as rainforests, evolution, adaptation, and nutrition. Pupils gain a better understanding of our primate cousins and their habitats, as well as empathy and compassion for their welfare.

For older children, schools can purchase the self-guided tour for a discounted rate. This promotes independent learning, as children can follow the tour around the park and gather information at each point, by downloading the tour to their own device.
All of the talks and workshops are also available as outreach sessions – the education team can bring Monkey World to you!
Details of available talks and workshops can be found in the Session Booklet.
Support is offered to teachers through pre-visit plans, teacher packs, and additional resources post visit. The dedicated education team are here to help you get the most out of your school trip, so get in touch today!
“We all had a wonderful time yesterday at Monkey World. The guided talks went down a treat and we had lots of very happy (and very tired!) students on the coach on the way home.”
