There is more to learning outside the classroom than just monkey-ing around! With over 250 primates, three play areas and 65 acres to explore, Monkey World is the perfect place for your next school visit.
Whether you’re learning about Monkey World’s rescue work, impacts of deforestation or chimpanzee politics, Monkey World’s experienced education team can enhance a school trip or support learning in the classroom.
Choose from a range of talks and curriculum-linked workshops suitable for all ages and levels of study. Topics such as rainforests, evolution, adaptation, and nutrition are brought to life, and pupils will walk away with a better understanding of our primate cousins and their lives, as well as empathy and compassion for their welfare.
Students will also see conservation in action, as animals stolen from the wild into the black market trade are rehomed at the centre. Some still show psychological and physical scars of their past lives.
“We all had a wonderful time yesterday at Monkey World. The guided talks went down a treat and we had lots of very happy (and very tired!) students on the coach on the way home”
For older children, schools can purchase the self-guided tour for a discounted rate. This promotes independent learning, as children can follow the tour around the park and gather information at each point, by downloading the tour to their own device.
Details of available talks and workshops can be found in the Session Booklet.
Support is offered to teachers through pre-visit plans, teacher packs, and additional resources post visit.
Special admission rates apply for pre-booked schools and groups; download, complete and return the school booking form to book your trip today.

Whether you want to learn more about chimpanzees or orang-utans, better understand the threats primates face in the wild, or focus on adaptations and evolution, Monkey World can deliver a session that suits you.
