The new Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris has officially opened, doubling the resort’s footprint with a €2 billion investment. School groups can now explore World of Frozen, Marvel Avengers Campus, and Worlds of Pixar, with enhanced capacity and new attractions designed to accommodate larger parties throughout the day.

Since Disneyland Paris opened in 1992 it has seen 445 million visits, accounting for more than 6% of France’s tourism revenue. It remains hugely popular for school visits with a range of tour operators offering a variety of packages and options.
What was Walt Disney Studios is now Disney Adventure World which keeps its popular attractions but now includes World of Frozen and a host of new features and experiences. Further plans at Disneyland Paris mean upgrades to Disney Village and Disney Hotels.

During the opening ceremony for Disney Adventure World, Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, said: “With Disney Adventure World, we’re not only unveiling a reimagined second gate at Disneyland Paris; we’re opening the door to a new era. An era where our guests walk straight into the heart of the stories they love. We continue to expand Disneyland Paris with ambition and purpose.”
Thomas Mazloum, chairman of Disney Experiences, added. “The reimagining of our second gate reflects the very best of what Disney represents: boundless imagination that brings people together.”
World of Frozen: the headline attraction for school groups
A highlight of the transformation is the new World of Frozen featuring the 36-metre tall North Mountain crowned by Elsa’s Ice Palace, the village square and Arendelle Bay. Groups can take a musical boat ride on Frozen Ever After, through memorable scenes from the films, and visit Arendelle Castle for a royal encounter with Anna and Elsa.

On Arendelle Bay, the daytime show A Celebration in Arendelle is presented several times a day with Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and the villagers appearing aboard majestic boats. Olaf, the lovable snowman from Frozen, also comes to life in this show made possible by a next-generation robotic character.
Disney Cascade of Lights: evening spectacular
At Disney Adventure World, the immersive lands, World of Frozen, Marvel Avengers Campus, and Worlds of Pixar, are arranged around Adventure Bay, a central lake offering breathtaking vistas. In the evenings, the lake transforms for Disney Cascade of Lights, the first daily night-time show in the second park. The open-air show featuring drones, flames, fountains and pyrotechnics is inspired by Disney Animation’s Moana, Mulan, Hercules, and Zootopia, Disney and Pixar’s Up, and stories from the Marvel Universe.

Adventure Way is the the new main avenue linking World Premiere Plaza to the park’s immersive lands and features the new family attraction Raiponce Tangled Spin, inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Tangled.
There are also 15 new dining locations including The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, which offers guests the chance to meet Disney Princesses such as Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Merida (Brave), Jasmine (Aladdin), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Mulan (Mulan) and Ariel (The Little Mermaid).
Popular characters and movies at Worlds of Pixar
In Worlds of Pixar, school groups can journey into the colourful stories of Pixar’s Toy Story, Ratatouille, Cars, and Finding Nemo, through seven attractions, character greetings with Pixar characters, and restaurants and themed shops.

Marvel Avengers Campus: action-packed experience
Marvel Avengers Campus offers an epic adventure, inviting guests to join the new generation of Avengers recruits through attractions such as Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, heroic encounters across the Campus, live-action stunts, and dining at PYM Kitchen or Stark Factory.
Set to open at a later date, Disney Adventure World will welcome the first The Lion King-themed area. This new universe will feature a major attraction combining water-based thrills with audio-animatronics® figures, plunging guests deep into the Pride Lands.
