Voyager School Travel has announced plans to open a purpose-built accommodation centre for school groups in Paris, a short walk from Disneyland Paris.

The travel company has confirmed that Voyager Campus Paris, a 400-bed facility currently being built, is scheduled to open in early 2028, with the €21 million development built in partnership with Disney Real Estate.
Nigel English, CEO of Voyager School Travel said they had decided to invest in Paris because of its standing as “the most popular overseas destination for UK school trips”, and because there was a shortage of dedicated accommodation for school groups visiting the city.
Located in the suburb of Chessy, just 19 miles from central Paris and a short walk from Disneyland Paris, the state-of-the-art facility will offer a base for school groups travelling on language, art, history or cultural tours.
”By integrating en-suite privacy, flexible dining and dedicated outdoor space, we are delivering the exact features teachers have been asking for.”

All the bedrooms will be en-suite and there will also be teacher lounges, classrooms, an auditorium and a dining space serving a school-friendly menu.
In addition, schools can access an outdoor space, evening activities and there will be 24/7 support from the on-site management team.

Exclusivity and sustainability
Mr English added: “Purpose-built facilities are the number one priority for trip leaders. By integrating en-suite privacy, flexible dining and dedicated outdoor space, we are delivering the exact features teachers have been asking for.
“During term time, the campus is reserved exclusively for school groups, meaning there are no shared facilities with the public - a core safeguarding consideration for school party leaders. Each group will have its own accommodation zone and teachers’ lounge, with a separate block designated for drivers and campus staff.
“Sustainability has been woven into the build from the outset. The campus is being constructed to Passivhaus standards and will use geothermal heating, a renewable system that draws on the constant temperature of the ground to heat buildings and supply hot water. Voyager is also working closely with the regional mayor on job creation and local opportunities.”

Ideal for trips to Disneyland Paris
Around three-quarters of Voyager’s Paris trips already include a visit to Disneyland Paris, either for student conferences and performing arts events or as part of a broader educational itinerary.
The campus will be within walking distance of the Disney Village. Research conducted by Voyager found that 77% of trip organisers were comfortable including a theme park visit within a school trip, provided it forms part of a wider educational itinerary or delivers clear learning outcomes.
Demand is expected to be high, particularly following the recent €2 billion expansion of Disneyland Paris. Voyager Campus will add 400 beds, representing around 4% of the total accommodation capacity serving the resort.
Schools with confirmed Paris trips in 2027 will be offered first refusal on equivalent 2028 dates ahead of general release.
