Conway’s residential visits offer children and young people diverse and high-quality experiences to enhance their classroom learning and develop life skills.

At Conway Centres, they have been determined to ensure as many young people as possible can experience a residential. With the Conway Centres Bursary Scheme already launched this academic year, they have now crafted a brand-new residential experience that cuts costs down even further for schools and parents….

Whether it is soaring on the zipline with the view of the Eryi (Snowdonia) peaks in the background to canoeing down the Menai Strait exploring Anglesey’s shoreline – your young people will take part in two adventurous activities led by their highly-qualified instructors. Just let them know your goals and the experienced booking team will ensure your activity sessions are tailored to meet your goals and any themes you have in mind.

Ready to go self-led activities

Conway Centres have everything you need to run your own self-led activities. With Conway Quest, Orienteering, Compass Course and Problem-Solving packs together – they have made it easier than ever for you to run your own self-led activities on their grounds.

Did you know schools that visit the site at Plas Newydd get free access to National Trust Plas Newydd?

Set in 129 acres of woodlands and parklands, there is so much to explore at the Plas Newydd site.

With a thriving reintroduced red squirrel population, there are feeding stations throughout the garden and woodlands for young people to see if they can spot one. Or young people can find their sense of adventure in Dairy Wood by exploring the playground or enjoying a game of frisbee golf.

There are four locations across the North West and Wales to choose from with Conway Centres - Anglesey, Burwardsley, Delamere and Tattenhall.

Discover Anglesey’s history

With stories about the Battle of Waterloo, the 5th Marquess of Anglesey (also known as the ‘Dancing Marquess’), and the Naval Training camp during WW2, The Plas Newydd house and gardens is rich in history of military, theatre and art.

Run your own Art session

With dedicated Art studios, why not unleash creativity and bring the outdoors inside for an Art session? Walk around the grounds, collect artefacts and natural resources to inspire a 2D or 3D piece of art or create a shared memory book to reflect on your visit to Conway Centres.

Whether you deliver problem solving or team building activities to strengthen bonds, run a yoga or a meditation session in the great outdoors or provide wellbeing through the arts – young people will learn coping strategies and useful tools they can take home to support them during future challenges.
