Teachers, staff from providers and students all feature in the short clip, sharing their thoughts on why the experiences are so important.

Sue Dutton of Sherbrook Primary School in Cannock, Staffordshire, is one of the teachers to appear in the video. She won the 2022 School Trip Champion Award as part of the School Travel Awards initiative.

School Travel Awards 2022 - School Trip Champion Award

An emotional Sue Dutton is presented with the School Trip Champion Award from Mo Ogden of WST (right), and awards host Katharine Merry at the 2022 ceremony.

Sue talks about why it’s so important to learn beyond the classroom and how children each have different learning styles.

In addition to staff from Ingestre Hall Arts Residential Centre, students from several schools share what they have enjoyed about school trips and why they have found them so beneficial, as well as what they have learnt on visits.

Teachers also give their top tips for others about starting on their educational visit journey.
