The 2025 School Travel Awards winners have been showing off their trophies with pride… and rightly so! We have loved seeing all your pictures, including with our mascot Teacher Ted.

We celebrated the 2025 School Travel Awards winners at a special lunch and ceremony on 21st November at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. A huge thank you to everyone who has been in touch to share their pictures, and also those who have shared reaction on social media.

This year’s winners included Cheddar Gorge & Caves, which was crowned Best Geography Learning Experience, Shakespeare’s Globe, which hit the mark for Best Venue for English Learning, and Rayburn Tours which was voted Best School Tour Operator (Large).

Chester Zoo’s komodo dragon was intrigued by the shiny trophy…

Chester Zoo was voted Best Wildlife Attraction and their senior conservation education manager, Sean Dick told us: “We are delighted to have been recognised as Best Wildlife Attraction, our school visitors are such an important audience for Chester Zoo.

“By engaging a future generation with educational workshops and activities, together we can create a future where nature can survive and thrive. Thank you to all of the School Travel Organiser readers who voted for us.”

London Transport Museum picked up the award for Best Provision for SEND at the ceremony in November. 

Fenella Goodheart, director of learning and participation, said: “It’s a top priority for London Transport Museum to be an accessible and enjoyable visit for every child and young person – so winning this award is such fantastic news.

“We are hugely grateful for this vote of confidence from teachers and schools and look forward to continuing to strengthen and grow our SEND provision.”

Outside the Learning Academy - where fantastic workshops take place for STEM learning - congratulations to the whole team! 

Celebrating back at the resort in Windsor, the LEGOLAND® team took Teacher Ted along with them to celebrate winning Best Venue for STEM Learning.

Abby Simpkins at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort said: “It is an unbelievable honour to be nominated again for a School Travel Award in 2025 and an even bigger honour to be successful in winning the ‘Best Venue for STEM Learning’.

Winners ‘thrilled’ with their achievements

Rebecca Fox at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, awarded Best UK Attraction, said: “We’re thrilled to have been awarded Best UK Attraction for the second year running.

“We are always proud to be nominated at the School Travel Awards, as the finalists are voted for by teachers - but to be awarded such an accolade twice is a real testament to the work we put in to make Warner Bros. Kraków in Poland was voted Best International Destination by teachers and EVCs. Natalia Kulec-Greń, director for tourism, said: “This prestigious distinction reaffirms the city’s position as one of the world’s leading tourist destinations, particularly recognised for its value in the educational travel sector.

“The award reflects Kraków’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its tourism offer by combining high-quality services, strong educational content, and authentic cultural experiences. As a result, visitors have the opportunity to explore the city’s rich history, vibrant culture, and remarkable heritage sites.”

Becky Dodds, OCT learning programme coordinator at the National Marine Aquarium, which won Education/Learning Team of the Year, said: “Not only is it a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team, but it highlights the value of Ocean literacy within education.

“By providing national curriculum linked sessions, delivered through the lens of Ocean Literacy, we are able to engage with the next generation of Ocean advocates in a really fun and inspiring way. With thanks to all the educators we work with, the wider OCT team, and the School Travel Awards, we are so proud of all we have achieved this year and are looking forward to what next year holds.”
