The Landpod Village will open at the Cuffley Active Learning Centre in spring 2026, offering off-grid residential experiences designed to connect young people with nature.

Within the village there will be eight pods, each incorporating two bunk beds and made from sustainable materials. The pods, which will be powered by solar panels, include internal LED lighting and power hubs.
Based in Potters Bar and part of the Active Learning Group, Cuffley Active Learning Centre welcomes around 40,000 young people every year for school residentials.
Ash Balfour, general manager at Active Learning Centres, said: “We’re incredibly proud to bring the Landpod Village to Cuffley as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation in outdoor education.
“These unique pods offer young people the chance to fully connect with nature, build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and embrace adventure all day, then coming back to enjoy a great night’s sleep.”
