School Travel Awards

It’s over to you… time to tell us about the best venues, companies and attractions for school trips – and enter your own school for big prizes.

Votes and nominations are now being taken for the School Travel Awards 2018/19, which will recognise the best providers and practitioners for school trips and educational visits.

We want you to share your experience of learning outside the classroom and shine a spotlight on the very best across the school travel sector.

There are a total of 17 award categories. You can now vote in 15 of them; from the Best Venue for Maths Learning to the Best School Tour Operator and Best Heritage Venue.

The final two awards recognise schools and individuals who go the extra mile in taking learning outside of the classroom.

Nominate your School Trip Champion

The first of these is the School Trip Champion Award, which has been designed to recognise an individual, dedicated to school travel and learning experiences away from the classroom. It’s an award that comes with a £1,500 prize, which will be given to the winner’s school, to contribute to a future school trip. Click to our short online form to nominate someone now.

Tell us about your Best School Trip

The second is the ‘My Best School Trip’ Award, which also comes with a £1,500 prize for the winning school to spend on an educational trip. To enter, teachers will need to get their class to write reviews of a school trip or educational visit they have been on recently. To request an entry pack click here.

When are the winners announced?

This year’s initiative will again culminate in a five-star ceremony and lunch at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London, on Friday 16th November. TV broadcaster and newsreader Fiona Bruce, who described the range of “truly inspiring trips” at last year’s event, will return to host the ceremony, which promises to be an unbeatable networking opportunity and fantastic celebration.

Who can vote?

Anyone involved in organising school trips and learning outside the classroom experiences, from teachers and educational visit coordinators, but they must work for, or represent, a school. We do not accept votes from companies or providers.
