The move means that Chester-based Galina International Study Tours will be able to offer flights for the first time as part of its school trip packages.

A Galina International Study Tours trip to Paris

Paris is one of the many destinations that Galina International Study Tours runs school trips to.

The number of passengers it takes on tours will increase to more than 80,000 as part of the acquisition by specialist educational travel company Next Generational Travel (NGT), based in Blackpool.

About Galina:

Established in 1989, Galina initially focused upon battlefield tours before expanding its portfolio to include school tours. All of its study tours can be tailored to teachers’ specific requirements and the firm employs teachers and examiners from all 10 subject areas it covers to ensure that trips directly relate to the National Curriculum.

It runs a variety of tours including History trips to Ypres, Messines & Passchendaele, Geography tours to places including Amsterdam, Normandy, Dunkirk, Liverpool, North Wales and Dorset as well as Maths tours of Belgium, London and Paris.

About Next Generational Travel:
