Pupils can explore the most important locations in American politics during a visit to Washington DC including the Capitol Building and Lincoln Memorial.

Business studies and economics students can take a walking tour of Wall Street and see the New York Stock Exchange. While art & design students can enjoy a wealth of contemporary art at the Museum of Modern Art, The Met and Guggenheim Museums. Performing Arts students? South Africa

South Africa - a country of stunning contrasts, offering a powerful blend of history, culture, geography, and ecology, is emerging as a popular destination for UK school groups.

Cape Town & Robben Island is an essential stop for modern history where you can see where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years. While a visit to the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg provides a comprehensive and emotional journey through the rise and fall of Apartheid.

Head to Kruger National Park, which is one of the world’s most famous game reserves, a must for science and geography students.

School trips to China offer opportunities to see iconic landmarks including the Great Wall of China which stretches over 21,000km and has been built by varuous dynasties throughout Chinese history.

China

The most populous country on earth is proving increasingly popular with school groups looking to experience a country of contrasts, from vast mega cities to remote mountains and ancient cultures. As one of the world’s oldest ancient civilisations, China’s history stretches from the Xia dynasty to the rise of Mao Zedong and the People’s Republic of China. 

Schools can take part in a multi-city trip and explore the bustling city of Shanghai, ancient city of Xi’an, former communist stronghold of Yan’an and the sprawling capital of Beijing, or spend a number of days experience Chinese language in one city. 

Highlights of a visit can include the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City and the Terracotta Army. British citizens will soon be allowed to travel to China for up to 30 days without a visa following an agreement between the UK and China.
