Jon Clarke
Jon Clarke is shadow headteacher of Learning Away Champion School Walsall Academy. He has run school trips and expeditions all over the world. He led the first state school pupils to Everest Base Camp and in 2016 was awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship. This enabled him to travel and learn from schools in the USA. He used that information to develop innovative courses linking learning and getting outside of the classroom to raise student attainment both within his own school and with a wider group of schools.
Jon has led numerous Outward Bound Trust visits along with ski trips, battlefield tours, language visits to France and Germany as well as day visits all over the UK.
