It was all smiles as the winners of the School Travel Awards 2025 gathered for a celebratory photo with their trophies, joined by this year’s host, Rory Bremner.

The ceremony took place on Friday 21st November at the five-star Royal Lancaster Hotel in London with more than 300 guests in attendance.
Several first-time winners were awarded for making a real impact and creating exceptional learning experiences beyond the classroom. These included the London Transport Museum, which won Best Provision for SEND, Matilda the Musical, voted Best Theatre Production for Schools, and Kraków which picked up the award for Best International Destination.
The category for Best UK Attraction was awarded to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter while Hever Castle was voted Best Historic Attraction or Venue for schools.
Tour operators make all the difference when it comes to school trips and for 2025 teachers and educational visits coordinators (EVCs) decided that TCBC School Tours was top of the Best School Tour Operator (small/medium) category while Rayburn Tours picked up its first award for the Best School Tour Operator (large) category.

Highlights from the 2025 ceremony
Before presenting the awards, Rory Bremner entertained guests with some his most famous impressions, and spoke about his own connection with learning outside the classroom.
The drinks reception, sponsored by The Royal Mint Experience, provided the ideal opportunity for networking between teachers and EVCs and school trip providers, attractions and more.
And guests were wowed with a performance by the cast of Mamma Mia! which set the tone before a three-course lunch was served for all to enjoy.

Recognising schools and educators
Two special awards celebrated the individuals and schools powering unforgettable school trips.
St Woolos Primary School in Newport, Wales, picked up the ‘My Best School Trip’ Award for their Year 5 residential to Lower Treginnis Farm (run by Farms for City Children).
And Dave Cook, history teacher at Tendring Technology College in Essex, took home the School Trip Champion Award trophy for his role in organising life-changing experiences for students.

Both schools will receive £2,000 to spend on a future educational visit for their pupils.
Rob Yandell, publisher of School Travel Organiser, summed up an inspiring day: “Learning is one thing, but to truly experience something, you need to go beyond the classroom. These awards celebrate the people and organisations that make that possible.”
