Killington Lake is open as a venue for canoeing and other watersports.

Located between the Yorkshire Dales and the southern Lake District, Killington Lake is a new venue offering watersports including canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding and raft building to school groups and other visitors.

The lake has natural shelter from the surrounding hills and woodland, making it a good location for beginners looking to learn and have fun. Lost Earth Adventures has a team of qualified instructors to guide young people through the activities safely and support them to build confidence.

The venue offers an immersive experience within nature, with the shores of the lake providing a habitat for herons, dragonflies and nesting birds.

Killington Lake is located in Cumbria, 25 minutes from Ingleton.

Groups visiting Killington Lake can combine their visit with Lost Earth Adventures’ nearby land-based activities, including caving, abseiling and rock climbing. Other activities which can be included in the outdoor education experience include hiking, navigation, mountain biking and cycling. All equipment is provided for activities.

Lost Earth Adventures uses the diverse landscape of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Lake District as a venue for its trips. Other outdoor education centres can be found in Yorkshire, the Peak District and Wales.
