Four learning outside the classroom experiences are up for grabs in the latest round of prizes to celebrate the charity’s anniversary. 

Thorpe Park

One of the prizes is a trip for a class to Thorpe Park in Surrey.

The Council of Learning Outside the Classroom (CLOtC), which is marking its 10th year, has opened entries for the next set of trips for schools to win.

The prizes, donated by LOtC Quality Badge providers, are: 

  • A free climbing session, for up to 35 climbers, with Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge. It’s a modern day twist on a climbing centre, where your group can experience 20 unique climbing challenges that cater for all abilities and levels of confidence.

  • A trip for a class (up to 30 students and three teachers) at Thorpe Park. The prize also includes a free educational workshop from the award-winning Thrills programme (a choice of STEM & Business subjects for Key Stage 2 through to FE). 
  • Free entry for a class at West Midlands Safari Park: Welcoming schools and education groups for more than 40 years, the safari park is home to some of the world’s most beautiful and exotic animal species and offers hands-on activities, linked to the curriculum, in its newly built Safari Academy. 

Ufton Court, Berkshire

  • A historical trip to Ufton Court in Berkshire: The Elizabethan manor house provides history and outdoor learning expreiences for schools across the South East, covering learning objectives from a range of historical periods including the Stone Age, Ancient Egyptians and the Romans.

Neale Wade Academy, Cambridgeshire -  the lucky recipients of a three-day coastal residential trip in Dorset with Cumulus Outdoors. 

Pegasus Academy, Dudley - who will get a journey with Dudley Canal & Tunnel Trust

Mill Water School, Devon - who win an experience with Magdalen Environmental Trust on its farm in Somerset. 

Ashwood Park Primary, Wordsley, West Midlands - who get their hands on a free school trip to Warwick Castle.
