Wrest Park’s new exhibition supports its KS3 History links

Date Posted: 22/07/2015

Students can explore Wrest Park in Bedfordshire’s important role as a wartime hospital with support from a new exhibition which tells the story of how it became England’s first World War One convalescent home.

Wrest Park at War has curriculum links to the Key Stage 3 History topic: Challenges for Britain, Europe and the wider world 1901 to present.

The exhibition is set in the drawing room of the house, and includes graphics and an audio-visual display of historic photographs and vivid diary extracts, depicting how the rooms would have looked at the time.

Schools visiting Wrest Park can take advantage of its free education rooms.

The Wrest Park at War exhibition will be on display for approximately three years.
