Wildlife Photographer of the Year at National Museum Cardiff

National Museum Cardiff will once again be home to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competitions from 29th March to 22nd June within its natural history galleries.

Co-owned by the Natural History Museum and BBC Worldwide the prestigious annual competition is full of visually stunning and often thought-provoking images which provide an insight into the beauty, drama and variety of nature.

The much coveted title of Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2013 was awarded to photographer Greg du Toit from South Africa for Essence of Elephants (pictured), his image of African elephants in the Northern Tuli Game Reserve in Botswana.

School trips to National Museum Cardiff

Teachers can choose to explore the museum with self-led resources and/or take part in a museum-led activity.

Entry to National Museum Cardiff is free, but school groups must book in advance. A lunch room and parking is available.
