Wightlink Ferries offers more benefits for foot passenger groups

Date Posted: 28/04/2015

A surge of group bookings to the Isle of Wight has resulted in Wightlink Ferries introducing online booking capabilities and lower fares for foot passengers.

Wightlink now allows groups of ten or more foot passengers to book their crossings online if they travel together on both the outbound and inbound routes.

Additionally, parties travelling to the island on foot can now take advantage of Wightlink’s discounted return ferry fares.

Foot passengers can get trains directly from London to Portsmouth Harbour Catamaran Terminal which take an hour and a half. Then the Wightlink crossing to the island takes just over twenty minutes.

Alternatively, you can get on board one of the many ferries sailing from Portsmouth or Lymington which gets to the island in forty minutes.

The Isle of Wight offers a variety of educational visits for schools including educational workshops and tours at Osbourne House, Godshill Model Village and the Ventnor Botanic Gardens.
