West End season from the National Youth Theatre

Date Posted: 16/07/2013

The National Youth Theatre’s Rep company has taken up residence at the Ambassadors Theatre in London. Its autumn season includes three plays which have been specially adapted for school groups: Romeo & Juliet, Tory Boyz and Prince of Denmark – a prequel to Hamlet.

The shows are suitable for Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, and for GCSE and A-Level English Literature, Drama or Theatre Studies syllabuses.

The season also features the world premiere of Louise Brealey’s Pope Joan, at St James’ Church, Piccadilly.

Romeo & Juliet and The Prince of Denmark can be enjoyed separately or as a daytime double bill whilst Pope Joan and Tory Boyz play matinees and evening performances individually throughout the run. Dates are available throughout the autumn term.

An accompanying education pack for school trip organisers will be available later in the year.

Subsidised tickets for teachers are available for school visits of ten pupils or more.
