Watermill season includes Journey’s End adaptation

Date Posted: 06/08/2014

The autumn/winter productions at Newbury’s Watermill Theatre will include the R C Sherriff play, which has been on the GCSE English syllabus for many years.

Journey’s End will run at the Berkshire theatre from 11th September to the 11th October.

The play is particularly relevant to students at this period in time, due to its setting within the trenches of World War One.

Also on the season list is a version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, running for a week from 13th to 17th October; and the Christmas season play will be an adaptation of J M Barrie’s Peter Pan from 20th November to 4th January.
