Date Posted: 17/10/2018

Northern outdoor attractions Treetop Trek and Treetop Nets are celebrating a bumper year for schools, with more than 5,000 students visiting in 2018 across the three sites.

The company, based in Cumbria, aims to provide students and young people with outdoor education that is fun and adventurous.

The Treetop Trek and Treetop Nets centres allow students to safely challenge themselves and develop important life skills such as teamwork and problem solving.

The Treetop Trek sites are located in Windermere and Manchester and the Treetop Nets course can be found at these two sites plus in Ripon.

More about Treetop Trek and Treetop Nets

Treetop Trek is a high-ropes course where students don a safety harness to navigate aerial obstacles and ziplines with two levels of aerial adventure, making it suitable for both Primary and Secondary school students.

Treetop Nets presents a high ropes adventure with giant net trampolines suspended high in the trees where students can safely bounce below the tree canopy without a harness, surrounded by net walls, and is a way for students to be active outdoors.

School testimonials

Pennine Way Junior Academy commented on their recent visit: “The support and encouragement offered to our children was second to none and ensured that so many of the children, many of whom were initially reluctant, completed the trek and left with such a huge sense of achievement and self-belief that will last a lifetime.”

A teacher from Greystone Primary Academy said: “My Year 5/6 class visited Treetop Nets recently. The children were greeted warmly by Treetop staff who couldn’t have been more accommodating.

“It was a fantastic opportunity for me to see children thrive outdoors and the learning opportunities covered a wide range of curriculum areas. Every child in the class gave Treetops a 10/10 for fun and said the staff were funny, warm and friendly!”
