Time Tower at Warwick Castle

Date Posted: 24/02/2015

Students are invited to travel through time as they explore the history of the castle in this new attraction.

Opening on 28th March, Time Tower, Warwick Castle’s latest edition to its school-friendly attractions, will allow students to explore the site’s history, which dates back 1,100 years.

Engaging students through an immersive audio and visual multimedia experience, Time Tower will introduce children to the ghost of the Earl of Warwick, who will recount the castle’s origins and dark history through the ages.

Daily attractions, which can also be explored at the castle, include birds of prey demonstrations and the world’s largest working trebuchet. This siege machine hurls flaming fireballs over 150m into the air in an explosive display each evening.

The castle’s education team work in collaboration with experienced teachers to create uniquely tailored educational programmes.

Learning is promoted through hands-on activities, with tours focusing upon core subjects suitable for KS1 through to 5.

Other benefits include free planning visits and entry for teachers, in addition to discounted entry rates for students and a series of talk and events.
