Date Posted: 21/10/2013

Choreographer Drew McOnie is to launch a brand new theatre-dance company The McOnie Company, with its first production opening in January.

The McOnie Company’s aim is to bridge the gap between musical theatre and pure dance.

The company promises to bring top-level dancers from various disciplines together to collaborate with creative artists from all corners of the arts, creating vibrant pieces of theatre-dance.

The McOnie Company’s first production will be Drunk, described as a theatre-dance revue. Drunk will premiere at the Curve Theatre in Leicester on 28th January, before transferring to the Bridewell Theatre in London from 5th February to 1st March.

Drunk: a synopsis

Drunk is a wickedly delicious cocktail of theatre and dance that takes school groups on an educational journey through some of history’s greatest tipples, and the victims who fall prey to their mood altering qualities.
