The War of the Worlds on its last tour

Jeff Wayne's musical version of The War of The Worlds is to return to the UK for the sixth and final time in 2014, opening in Liverpool on 28th November.

The announcement coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Orson Welles radio adaptation, the 35th anniversary of Jeff Wayne’s multi-platinum album and the 115th anniversary of HG Wells’ classic novel.

The touring production will feature Liam Neeson’s 3D holographic performance as The Journalist, as well as Jeff Wayne returning to the podium to conduct the nine-piece Black Smoke Band.

The Sung Thoughts of The Journalist will be performed by Brian McFadden, Jason Donovan is reprising his role as Parson Nathaniel, and Carrie Hope Fletcher of Les Mis?rables fame will star as Beth, Parson Nathaniel's Wife.
