The Tiger Who Came To Tea

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the stage adaptation of the popular children’s book, The Tiger Who Came To Tea will have a London run this summer.

Not only will the show be marking its tenth year, but 2018 also marks the 50th anniversary of the book which was written by Judith Kerr OBE.

The Tiger Who Came To Tea will play at the Piccadilly Theatre from 28th June until 9th September, making an ideal end of year trip for schools. Tickets are now on sale.

Synopsis: The Tiger Who Came To Tea

When Sophie and her mum welcome a hungry tiger to tea, he proceeds to eat all the sandwiches, buns, biscuits and more. He even manages to drink all the water in the tap. Join the tiger, Sophie and her parents in this musical singalong with interactive fun.

David Wood is considered one of the UK’s leading writers and director of plays and musicals for children. His other successes include: The Gingerbread Man, Guess How Much I Love You, eight Roald Dahl adaptations including West End hits The BFG, The Witches and George’s Marvellous Medicine; and the Olivier Award winning Goodnight Mister Tom.

Adapted and directed by David Wood OBE and based on the classic tale by Judith Kerr OBE, The Tiger Who Came to Tea is an introduction to theatre for children and can tie in with Literacy studies, for those who are reading the book in school.

The show is more suited for Primary schools, however any student from the age of three upwards can see the show.
