Date Posted: 17/09/2013

Raymond Gubbay presents five ballet productions from January next year; Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Don Quixote will embark on a UK tour, performed by the Russian State Ballet of Siberia.

The ballet company will return to the UK from 3rd January to 25th March, bringing to life the five popular ballets at various UK venues.

From fantasy worlds to classic love stories

Giselle follows the story of a beautiful village girl Giselle and her aristocratic but duplicitous lover, Duke Albrecht.

The Sleeping Beauty is the classic story of love and innocence, set in a fantasy world in which the Lilac Fairy struggles against the evil Carabosse.

School trip organisers can also opt to see The Nutcracker, where toy dolls spring to life and the Mouse King and his army battle with the Nutcracker Prince.

The romantic ballet, Swan Lake, and Don Quixote, a story of an eccentric, yet noble old gentleman’s dreams, will also feature on the tour.
