Teacher’s evening at the National Marine Aquarium

Date Posted: 15/01/2015

The National Marine Aquarium in Devon will host its 10th annual Teacher’s Evening on 28th January.

The event, which opens at 5.30pm, is suitable for teachers, support staff and trainee teachers who are interested in finding out what the aquarium is able to offer schools.

Visitors can enjoy a leisurely look around the aquarium, meet the Discovery and Learning Team and experience the exhibits, facilities and activities available, including a closer look at the Just Add H2O headquarters, which features its very own AquaLab, Science Theatre and Media Suite.

Teachers will also be shown how the aquarium’s schools programme links to the National Curriculum as well as other learning programmes.

Nicola Murray, discovery and learning manager at the National Marine Aquarium, commented: “Our annual Teacher’s Evening is a great way for teaching professionals to learn about our services and educational programmes.

“We’re able to offer programmes for a number of subjects, from Science to Art, Geography, to Psychology, Maths and English.”
