Taking place this July at The Bowes Museum in County Durham will be an interactive course for teachers, accompanying The BFG in Pictures exhibition.

The workshop will be held on 19th July and will teach those involved practical ideas for educating Creative Writing and Drawing in Primary schools.

The course will be delivered by author Adam Bushnell and artist Vicky Holbrough.

What will the course include?

The course will include the chance for teachers to view The BFG in Pictures exhibition whilst gaining practical ideas to help promote Creative Writing inspired by popular Roald Dahl story.

Demonstrations of drawing techniques and processes will also take place to give staff ideas to take back into the classroom. Teachers will get the opportunity to try out some of the techniques on the day.

Attendees will be taught ways to adapt and expand activities further than the classroom and for those with varying ability needs.

You’ll also receive some teaching resources to take back to school.
