Summer season at the Unicorn

Date Posted: 11/03/2014

The Unicorn Theatre in London, a specialist venue for school theatre trips, has announced details of its summer season, including the return of Unicorn favourites Sensacional and Not Now, Bernard for younger children.

Highlights of the new season also see a new adaptation of Tove Jansson’s evocative novel The Summer Book, which marks the centenary of the author’s birth; the return of Douglas Rintoul’s acclaimed sell-out 1001 Nights; and contemporary dance with Chalk About and O Snap.

Not Now, Bernard: a synopsis

Running from 23rd April to 1st May, David McKee’s iconic picture book, Not Now, Bernard, will be vividly brought to life on the Unicorn stage.

Bernard’s got a problem. He’s found a monster in the back garden and his mum and dad are just too busy to notice. So Bernard tries to befriend the monster... and that doesn’t go quite to plan.
