Summer prize freeze on School Journey Association residentials

Date Posted: 18/05/2017

School Journey Association (SJA) has announced a price freeze for residential trips taking place in 2018 if you book by August.

The summer price freeze is offering schools the chance to book a residential trip for 2018 at the current 2017 prices, when booking between the period of 5th June until 31st August 2017.

One of SJA’s prime purposes is to support children from disadvantaged families who might otherwise not be able to participate in a school trip. In order to promote this they may be able to offer a grant of up to 50% of the cost of the trip to help individual children to participate.

SJA residentials

The organisation arranges a variety of tailor-made trips, including themes such as cultural, activity, language, leisure, sports and music, within the UK, Europe and beyond.

Any destination and group size are welcome.

It is also possible to arrange Geography field trips, including tours to Iceland, where students will have the opportunity to experience a wealth of dramatic contrasts.

According to SJA, there has been an increase in demand of activity trips and, for this reason, it works with a number of centres that offer challenging activities, with qualified staff and proper safeguards.

About the organisation

The School Journey Association works to provide educational tours that bring subjects to life and extend pupils’ learning experience and development, meanwhile, supporting learning outside of the classroom.

The company’s website allows school travel organisers to download comprehensive information packs on planning a trip, risk assessment, travel insurance, and financial assistance.

SJA’s tour consultants can also support group leaders and trip organisers throughout every step of organising a school group travel experience.

SJA boasts over 100 years of experience in school journeys, having been founded in 1911 with expertise on all aspects of planning school trips, health and safety and assessing all risks.
