Stephen Daldry directs Skylight revival

Date Posted: 18/02/2014

Stephen Daldry will direct Bill Nighy, Carey Mulligan and Matthew Beard in a major West End revival of David Hare’s Olivier Award-winning play Skylight, running for a strictly limited season from 18th June to 23rd August.

Daldry most recently directed the sell-out West End production of Peter Morgan’s The Audience, which starred Helen Mirren.

Skylight premiered at the National Theatre in 1995, receiving the Olivier Award for Best Play the same year, before transferring to the West End and Broadway.

Skylight is the story of school teacher Kyra Hollis following an unexpected visit from her former lover Tom Sergeant, a successful and charismatic restaurateur whose wife has recently died.
