Spinnaker Tower challenges schools with new treasure hunt

Date Posted: 28/02/2014

Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth has introduced a new Discover Portsmouth package for school groups, combining a trip to the top of the 100-metre tall attraction with a treasure hunt experience.

The new package aims to give students the opportunity to explore Portsmouth from a bird’s eye perspective, as well as to get up close with city exploration and clue-solving fun around the great waterfront location.

School trips taking part in the Discover Portsmouth package will start their morning or afternoon with a visit to the Spinnaker Tower.

Students will then leave no stone unturned to uncover hidden treasures and famous landmarks on a two and a half hour hunt around the city, taking in the Historic Dockyard, Gunwharf Quays, the Anglican cathedral, Spice Island and the tower.

Maps and clue packs are provided, along with a scratch card quiz game to check answers. Prizes are also included for the winning team.
