Simon Callow cast in dramatisation of Christ’s life

A touring version of Matthew Hurt’s play The Man Jesus, starring Simon Callow, will call at venues across the UK this autumn.

Opening at The Lowry in Salford Quays on 10th September, the play looks back 2,000 years to witness key moments in the life of Jesus, through the eyes of the people who knew him.

Callow will perform scenes of biblical stories including the raising of Lazarus, the wedding at Cana and the journey to Jerusalem.

Tour dates for The Man Jesus include:

•    Lincoln PAC: 28th September
•    Leicester Curve: 1st October
•    Grand Opera House, York: 7th October
•    Plymouth Theatre Royal: 19th October
•    Northampton Theatre Royal: 3rd November
