Shakespeare's Globe at Christmas

Date Posted: 15/10/2014

Shakespeare’s Globe is offering theatre, music and spoken word productions throughout the winter – including Christmas show, The Knight of the Burning Pestle and the Winter’s Tales.

Beaumont’s experimental comedy The Knight of the Burning Pestle returns to the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 11th December to 11th January 2015.

Opening as a bourgeois comedy of manners, the play disintegrates into what’s billed as a surreal, genre-defying caper when two members of the ‘audience’ invade the stage.

The Playhouse will also host the Winter’s Tales – a series of classic short stories read by candlelight with live musical accompaniment.
