Date Posted: 03/10/2013

A 3D lightshow combining a laser lightshow with live theatrical performances will be staged outside Shakespeare’s Birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon this Christmas, alongside performances of Shakespeare’s popular plays.

Laser show company CMT Events is set to beam a display onto the walls of Shakespeare’s Birthplace, while resident acting troupe Shakespeare Aloud! will perform scenes from plays including Macbeth (pictured).

Starting on 21st November, the 3D lightshow will be performed four times nightly until 19th December, taking place at 4.30pm, 5pm, 5.30pm, and 6pm.

Further highlights include live music and entertainment from Touch FM and Christmas carols from local school children.

The show is free, although school trip organisers can also opt for a candle-lit visit to Shakespeare’s Birthplace costing £5 per adult. The attraction will be extending its opening hours and will also be offering mince pies and mulled wine in the café.
