Schools’ orientated visits to Naze Tower exhibition

Date Posted: 06/09/2014

Running from the 13th September to 2nd November, Naze Tower in Essex will hold its annual Autumn exhibition.

A school visit to the exhibition can be orientated towards studying Geography, History and/or Art and can include a talk by the co-director that relates to any of these subjects.

Primary schools visiting the Naze often study all three subjects while Secondary schools study Art or Geography, specifically coastal erosion and management, at the venue.

Artists exhibiting at the Autumn exhibition

One of the artists’ exhibiting at the Autumn exhibition will be Ian Bedding, a local photographer who takes shots of the East Anglian coastline.

In the mixed show, glass artists Naomi Brangwyn and Danielle Hopkinson will be displaying contemporary stained glass and fused glass sculptures respectively.

Karen Risby creates contemporary ceramic sculpture and Daphne Sandham will be showing her quirky ceramics, including her large colourful ships (pictured).

There is a reduced admission fee for education groups visiting the Naze Tower.
