Schools can now apply for tickets for the Great Yorkshire Show, which is suitable for both Primary and Secondary schools to attend.

Grand Cattle Parade at the Great Yorkshire Show

The event, which will take place from 9th to 11th July 2019 in Harrogate, provides an opportunity to learn about food, farming and the countryside.

Primary school pupils can benefit from focused learning opportunities in the Discovery Zone, where free interactive workshops which explore food, farming, the environment and the great outdoors will be available. Workshop topics can vary from making bread to discovering how hydraulics work.

Secondary school students can benefit from the cross-curricular experiences on offer, as well as the opportunity to engage with potential employers and industry specialists throughout the day. Workshops will also be available in the Discovery Zone for Secondary students.

All of the workshops will be provided by the show’s partners, all of which have been selected for the quality of their delivery and the educational content of their activities.
