KidZania London has announced a winter line up of special events, fairs and bonus gifts for schools visiting in the festive season.

KidZania STEM Fair

The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Fair will return to the London venue from Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th December 2018.

Activities and workshops taking place during the fair are designed to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths skills, whilst also supporting the learning of pupils from Key Stage 1-3.

December STEM Fair highlights

WaterAid Workshop: Children will be taken on a journey across the world through WaterAid’s Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality workshop. They will be shown how clean water, working toilets and good hygiene can enable everyone to fulfil their potential.

The Royal Aeronautical Society: Those visiting the Cool Aeronautics stand will be able to experience what it’s like to think like a real engineer as they participate in a hands-on Design activity, created to teach children about the thought-processes behind engineering solutions.

Christmas Gifts: Those booking a school visit in December will receive a Christmas gift from KidZania. Every school that books a class trip from 1st December to 24th December will be able to open a door on the KidZania’s giant advent calendar, revealing a suite of prizes including a one-day cricket training programme with Middlesex Cricket, musical equipment courtesy of Roland and a bespoke day with Super Camps.

KidZania in 2019

The new year will see KidZania’s Careers Fair return from 23rd to 25th January.

The three-day event will give pupils the opportunity to meet professionals and gain an insight into a ‘day in the life’ of a range of careers, from pilots to data scientists.

Careers Fair highlights will include STEM-focused interactive activities on aircrafts from British Airways and an unusual bracelet-making activity from the Alan Turing Institute, which will introduce students to the world of data science.

The Careers Fair will promote KidZania’s belief in ‘Learning by Doing’. Events at the fair will therefore bring the classroom to life, with the aim of boosting children’s curiosity through curriculum based real-life activities.
