Rock UK is offering schools the chance to trial its adventure centres for free by bringing students to one of its sites for a day of activities with lunch.

The offer will be made available at this year’s Education Show, which takes place from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th March. Rock UK will be exhibiting on stand H94 and will be on hand to provide more information on what schools can expect at its adventure centres.

Rock UK has four sites across the UK: Carroty Wood in Kent, the Frontier Centre in Northamptonshire, the Summit Centre in south Wales and Whithaugh Park on the Scottish Borders.

Each site has a wide selection of adventure activities for students to try, such as archery, canoeing, abseiling and fencing, which aim to develop confidence, help students overcome fears and provide a sense of achievement.

The free activity day, which is available for a class of up to 32 pupils, is on offer for any school that has never visited a Rock UK Centre or has not been within the last four years.

“We want schools to try us for free so that they can see for themselves the benefits of taking their class away to one of our centres, and teachers can experience the positive impact and change it has,” Richard Sewell, centre director at Frontier Centre, said.

Rock UK

Rock UK was established in 1922, with the aim of helping children to experience fun, learn more about the outdoors as well as themselves, and push the boundaries of their comfort zones.

All Rock UK centres are LOtC Quality Badge holders.
