Robots among new offerings at Futuroscope

Date Posted: 09/08/2013

Educational theme park, Futuroscope has announced a whole host of new rides and experiences for school groups travelling to the French attraction in 2014.

Existing experience, Dances with Robots, has been updated to provide your class with even more exciting robot encounters. Huge robot arms from the car industry swap the factory floor for the dance floor for a technological boogie experience.

The Robothespian who welcomes you inside the attraction has been created by the British company Engineered Arts. He is also used by NASA to interact with visitors at the Kennedy Space Center.

Nano Ride is a new experience that takes school children on an extraordinary trip inside the human body.

A new virus is threatening the human race. Students will be ‘shrunk’ down so small that they can only be seen under a microscope, placed in a simulator and sent hurtling into the human body to wipe out the dreaded virus - with only a few minutes to do it.

Pupils on a school visit will pass through muscle tissue, meander down the digestive system, fight off attacking white blood cells, and more.

Futuroscope is located in the Poitou-Charentes region of France, between the Loire Valley, Vendée, Cognac, La Rochelle and the Dordogne.
