Poetry workshops complement Regeneration tour

Teachers booking a school visit to see the stage adaptation of Pat Barker’s World War One novel can take advantage of a free poetry workshop.

The novel’s main character is the war poet Siegfried Sassoon, making it ideal for KS4 pupils studying World War one poetry. The poetry workshops will be run by established poet Jacqui Rowe, and explore themes of war and responses to war.

The sessions are designed to support students develop their creativity and writing skills by exploring sensory deprivation and shared interpretation.

Teachers should contact their preferred venue for tickets. Workshops are free, subject to any school booking to see the production.
