Olympic Park walking tour launched by Blue Badge Guides

Date Posted: 24/08/2013

London’s Blue Badge Guides have launched a new walking tour of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The Olympic Walk will allow school groups to witness one of the largest urban regeneration projects ever undertaken as the home of the 2012 Olympics is transformed.

With the opening of the northern section of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, groups can close to the venues, with great views of the Aquatics Centre, the Arcelor Mittal Orbit, the Olympic Stadium, Copper Box and Velodrome.

Your Blue Badge Guide will offer intimate and personal knowledge of London’s Olympic and Paralympics, and share insight of the development of the venues and the park.

Following a walk through the tranquil northern Parklands, groups can opt to finish at the Timber Lodge cafe for lunch in the park itself.
