NAUSICAA, the French National Sea Centre, half an hour’s drive from Calais, has just opened a new educational exhibition on climate change.

The newest exhibition at NAUSICAA in France highlights the impact of global warming on both the world’s oceans and people’s everyday lives.

Ocean & Climate features educational areas on the role of the ocean, the greenhouse effect, the importance of mangroves and the increase of the number of jellyfish in the world, and ends with a 4D movie.

Schools can arrange to have a guided trip with a member of the education team, who can also work with teachers to tie the visit in with a Curriculum topic such as the food chain, biodiversity or ecosystems.

NAUSICAA is easily accessible by coach from Calais and a visits can be combined with trips to other attractions on France’s Opal Coast.
