Nottingham home to ghost tours this autumn

Date Posted: 02/09/2013

From a ghost tour of the Galleries of Justice to quests for paranormal activity around Wollaton Hall; Nottinghamshire offers plenty of activities to make for a spooky school trip this Halloween.

Ghost tours and terror tours will take place at the Galleries of Justice, where you can explore the Sheriff’s dungeon and experience the sights, smells and sounds of the prison cells and caves where prisoners were incarcerated before transportation or execution.

School trip organisers can also opt for a new actor-led tour to explore Nottinghamshire’s Old County Gaol, or take on a Grisly Gore Tour around the City of Caves – Nottingham’s oldest cave system. Tours take place between 4th October and 1st November.

Further highlights comprise of Halloween Havoc on 24th October - an event where you can enjoy spine-chilling storytelling, ghoulish games and a trail around the D.H. Lawrence Heritage Centre – and ghost hunts at Newstead Abbey (26th October) and Wollaton Hall (31st October).

School trip organisers will find school group rates and discounts at various venues and events.
