Nominate your Learning Outside the Classroom hero

Date Posted: 03/07/2014

There is less than a month to go until the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom closes nominations for its annual awards.

The Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Learning Outside the Classroom recognise those individuals or teams of people who go the extra mile in ensuring that young people have inspiring learning experiences which improve their attainment and personal development.

School trip organisers can nominate their LOtC Hero in one of the following categories:

•    LOtC Celebrity Champion
•    LOtC Inspiring Educator
•    LOtC Innovator
•    Lifetime Contribution to LOtC

It could be a team, colleague, friend, or celebrity who has shown passion for learning outside the classroom and dedication to enabling more young people to experience the world beyond the classroom.

The deadline for sending in nominations is 25th July. Nominees will then be shortlisted before public voting opens in September. The awards will be presented at a dinner following the council’s annual conference in the autumn.
