New car-themed area for school groups at Haynes

Date Posted: 29/07/2013

A car-themed outdoor activity centre is the latest attraction open for children at Haynes International Motor Museum in Sparkford in Somerset.

Haynes Motorland is a 1,500 square-metre adventure playground packed with a myriad of motoring-themed interactive games and mini vehicles for school groups to explore and enjoy.

Designed with its own road layout, classic pedal cars, garage, workshop, racetrack and construction site, Motorland is a child-friendly introduction to the automotive world.

From a life size adventure play jeep and camper van to JCB diggers and an ice cream van, there’s something for all pupils on a school visit to discover. There’s even working telephone boxes for calling roadside vehicle recovery in case of a breakdown.

Other new attractions open this summer include the Vroom Room, showcasing high performance sports cars through the ages, and the Motorcycle Mezzanine, home to the world’s largest and most complete speedway display.
