New Royal Mint Visitor Centre to open next spring

From next spring schools will be able to visit the Royal Mint’s Visitor Centre giving students the chance to learn the processes behind how coins and medals are made.

The Royal Mint’s Visitor Centre in South Wales will open in spring 2016 allowing pupilsto discover the manufacturing journey from concept to coin.

Tours of The Royal Mint will be available and will include a series interactive experiences to bring to life the 1,000 year-old heritage of the organisation. Students will also learn the stories behind The Royal Mint’s coin and medal-making processes.
