Residential organisation, Kingswood, has revealed its £1million investment in Grosvenor Hall adventure centre in Ashford, Kent.
The company revealed the newly refurbished centre through an open day which was attended by local schools and groups on 12th April, following a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Mayor of Ashford Borough, Councillor Winston Michael.
What to expect from the new centre
Highlights of the £1million investment include: a new lake measuring 100m by 50m; a new accommodation complex with 88 bedrooms and newly refurbished accommodation blocks; an improved menu with a more nutritious offer, and a brand-new flood-lit Sports Court.
The Sports Court will shortly be home to netball and basketball tournaments, with the opportunity for up to four games to take place simultaneously.
Along with the new lake, Kingswood’s adventure programme can now include both canoeing and raft building with brand new water sports equipment included. The offer is ideal for schools and groups wanting to inspire young people and host exciting residential trips, tournaments with a choice of pure adventure programmes and specialist development programmes available.

Over 135 guests attended the open day and were able to enjoy a fun-packed afternoon of activities including zip wires, abseiling, canoeing and climbing.
