KS1 and 2 Christmas productions at the Lyric

Date Posted: 28/10/2014

This winter the Lyric Hammersmith will stage two productions that are sure to delight younger students; classic takes on Dick Whittington and Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas.

Performing in the main auditorium, Dick Whittington and his Cat, suitable for ages six and above, will run from 22nd November to 3rd January.

Young Dick Whittington has set off from Hull in order to find his fortune in London but, with the evil Queen Rat controlling the city, Dick must join forces with his reluctant sidekick Cat and set off on a quest to defeat her that takes him from Hammersmith to the North Pole and back.

Alongside the main production, an interpretation of Raymond Briggs’ classic, Father Christmas, suitable for pre-school and Key Stage 1, will play in the Studio from 14th November 2014 to 31st December.
