Joan of Arc History Centre launched

Date Posted: 26/03/2015

A new Joan of Arc History Centre in Rouen offers avenues for Key Stages 2 to 3 to explore key parts of the History curriculum.

History lessons can be found everywhere in Rouen. The city offers an opportunity to examine the Middle Ages, the Anglo-Norman conflict, and the Hundred Years War in context.

Now, visiting students can also delve deeper into the story of Joan of Arc, and the way the history books have depicted her.

Ten million euros has been spent on a new interactive museum and education centre, which invites pupils to step back into the 15th century and participate in Joan’s trial, as well as learn about her life.

Resources, like audio guides, are provided in several languages, so there’s no barrier to learning.
